Shep's ideal home

Sweet boy Shep is a almost 2 year old Shepherd who has come to us from a home. He's been a pleasure to care for and makes everyone smile with his sweet personality. He's looking for a home as the only pet for now, where he can work on his manners and socialisation. He can be quite vocal when meeting other dogs and has a very over the top play style, which a lot of dogs don't appreciate. He's slowly learning what is appropriate and will need owners willing and able to continue this. He's a clever lad who enjoys showing off all his tricks! He has previously been housetrained however may need a little refresher and although has history of being left for an hour or so he would love a home where someone could be with him (he just loves people!) Shep could share his new home with confident children of 8+ who are happy around bouncy dogs. His new family will need to be willing to attend some sessions here at the centre with out training team to go through his ongoing training. Shep would love to have his own secure garden where he can play, explore and relax.

Could you be Shep's perfect match?

Shep does have ongoing medical conditions which will need managing and monitoring in his forever home. Our team at the centre would be happy to talk you through all of his needs.

German Shepherd Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
