Styx's ideal home

Styx is looking for a calm and quiet home environment where she will be given time and patience to come out of her shell. She's able to share her home with teenagers aged 16 and above, but will be looking to be the only pet in the home. Her new owners will need to be dedicated to forming a bond with her, coming to visit her a few times to get to know one another. Styx will need owners who are willing to undergo all her basic training in addition to helping her build her confidence. Styx has come into us with very limited history, so owners who are around most of the time would be best suited so any leaving hours can be built up gradually as Styx learns the home routine.

Styx is a shy 8 month old Belgian Malinois cross German Shepherd. She takes a few introduction sessions to get to know new people, but once she's made friends with someone, she becomes very cuddly and seeks fuss. Styx is learning to trust people and making progress day by day. She's a very playful lady once she's comfortable, but is still learning what to do with toys. Styx will be a really rewarding companion and we're really excited to see her all settled in her new home.

German Shepherd Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
