Description

Bear's ideal home

Bear is a big and beautiful boy who is as full of love as he is energy! He's arrived with us from a home where he was mostly housetrained and was learning how to be left for short periods. He is on the search for a fun loving family with a keen interest in training that can keep him busy! Bear LOVES his toys, although he sometimes forgets his manners around them. He's learning how to swap and drop his toys as well as learning a wait command which is coming in handy for his favourite game of fetch! He knows sit, down and paw and is a very clever boy who loves to learn. He would love to find an adventure loving family that can keep him busy! Bear could live with sensible older teens of 14+ who are confident around big boisterous dogs, as he often forgets just how big he is. Bear is working on his socialisation and whilst he needs to be the only pet in his forever home, he could learn to socialise with calm and playful dogs that can teach him all the doggy manners he needs to know. His new family will need to visit Bear a few times to get involved in his training here and the centre before he's ready to head off home.

Could you be Bear's perfect match?

Bear is a fabulous boy and we know he will be a wonderful companion for the right family, so if you're looking for a handsome boy who is full of fun and loves learning new thing, Bear could be your guy!

German Shepherd Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a German Shepherd.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
