Hughie's ideal home

Hughie is a big, handsome boy who is a bundle of joy! Due to his age and breed he is looking for an active home with lots of opportunities for mental and physical stimulation, and would benefit from experience with the breed, or a family that is willing to do some research! He does have a bit of a sensitive side especially around handling, so is looking for a new family who can go at his pace and be hands off while they build a bond with him. For this reason he is also looking for a home with older teens 16 years and a over with minimal visitors while he finds his feet. He is also currently learning to wear a muzzle for intense veterinary handling which his carers and trainers can go through with his new family when they come to meet him. Hughie loves his toys which is a great way to help build a bond and become his friend! Hughie is also looking for a home as the only pet, but is working on his socialisation and could have some calm walking friends once he’s settled into home life. Unfortunately Hughie has come into us with very limited information so will need help in all areas including housetraining, and his new family will need to build up the time that he’s left on his own so that he doesn’t get distressed. Hughie is looking for a home where he has his own secure garden where he can relax and play off lead without the pressure of being handled, and would like his new family to meet him a few times so that he can get to know them before going home.
