Skye's ideal home

Skye is a funny, friendly girl who would love to find a quiet home. She can be shy when it comes to meeting new people so she is looking for an adult-only home with few visitors. Skye appreciates a quick introduction to new faces but this is normally as simple as a quick walk together and then her amazing personality starts to shine through. She doesn’t really like other dogs but is perfectly manageable out-and-about and walks well on lead, she just prefers to keep her distance and will need to be the only pet in the home. She will need a secure garden where she can have off-lead play and relaxing sniffs. She is on medication but if this is a barrier to you applying we would still love to hear from you.

Skye is a German Shepherd cross who is 8 years old. She is an amazing older lady and would love nothing more than a quiet retirement home to enjoy quiet walks, lots of sniffs, and fuss on her terms. Skye takes a little while to build a relationship but once there she is affectionate and enjoys some gentle fuss. She has a good history of being left for around 4 hours and settling nicely. Car travel is also not a worry for this girl, she enjoys journeys and hops onto the back seat of the car without a problem. Skye is fully housetrained and knows lots of tricks already including ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘paw’, and ‘wait’. A clever girl with a heart of gold she is sure to make an incredible companion.
